I'm Dirty! PDF Print E-mail

What You Need to Know:
• I'm Dirty! is a terrific, cleverly written counting book about construction vehicles.
• This picture book would make a great read aloud for a young audience.
• Kate and Jim McMullin, a husband and wife, have teamed up to create this humorous, high-spirited series of books
for readers who are besotted by any kind of transportation vehicle (read: young boys).
Sweet Series Background:
Each book is an energetic look at a different vehicle/boat.  The text is lively in its description of the different tasks each transport vessel performs.  The illustrations are dynamic and are meant to illicit much interaction between the reader and the text.  These books would be a terrific newborn present purchased together or singularly as a great 3rd or 4th birthday present.
Sweet Book Summary:
This volume, I'm Dirty, is perfect for the construction vehicle-loving reader.  Its all about a cheeky backhoe and it's dirty job. The first line in the book is, "Who's got a Boom, a dipper stick, and a bucket with a row of chompers?", thus continuing the riddle-like text from the other volumes in this series. I'm Dirty goes into all the particulars about the life of a backhoe and all the construction minutiae your construction-crazy young reader could dream up.  It has a short little alliterative counting section in the middle, and focuses mainly on the grubby, dirty details of the backhoe's job.  The dirtier the better, though, for most young boys.  If this describes your reader, than I'm Dirty is a book they will relish!
