What You Need to Know:
• A gorgeous, happy alphabet book.
• From one of our favorite authors, Keith Baker, who wrote our beloved Mr. and Mrs. Green series.
• The art is just delightful and endlessly amusing.
Sweet Book Summary:
Keith Baker has set a new standard for alphabet books! LMNO Peas is the story of many energetic (and adorable) peas, who all have lots to do. Each has their own identity and their own jobs. Baker has managed to make what could have become a rote ABC primer, into a wonderful little ode to celebrating diversity and individuality. The text is rhyming and lyrical and would make an excellent read-aloud. The art and energy on each page also make it a book to be savored. My little guy has spent hours pouring over each page to see what each little pea is doing. Our favorite is the R page, which is a large spread of many peas reading -natch. Although the K is for King page, with a little pea dressed up as Elvis, is a close second:).
