How funny is this book?  How scary is this book?  How appropriate is this book?

We’ve developed a scale for each of these three elements so that you can see where in the range each book falls.

The LAUGH METER determines if a book is:
Not funny at all
     Slightly funny
         Very funny
             The funniest

The FEAR FACTOR determines if a book is:
Not scary at all
     Slightly scary
         Very scary
             The scariest

The SUBJECT MATTER determines if a book has:
Appropriate content for the intended age
     Some questionable content for the intended age
         A lot of questionable content for the intended age
             The most questionable content for the intended age
